Picking Your Degreaser

With so many varieties and combinations of cleaners these days it’s hard to know what to buy. To boot, each different surface, application and situation increases the number of possibilities by a huge amount. When it comes to degreasers it is important to know what kind of equipment you are working with and what kind of grime you are working against. Here are some basic tips for when it comes to picking a degreaser.

  • Consider the surface first: What is it made of? Are you dealing with multiple materials? Choose a chemical that is not going to corrode, damage or stain the surfaces you’re dealing with, and most importantly, know what type of grease you’re dealing with. Some degreasers are better for organic soils and some are better for inorganic soils.
  • What tools and equipment will you be using to clean with? Always make sure your equipment is compatible with the chemicals you are purchasing. For example, pressure washers are typically setup to run either acidic chemicals or alkaline, but can also be rigged to use both alternatively. To avoid damage and inconvenience, make sure you know the equipment you are buying for.
  • Prepare for clean-up. Many cleaners out there have specific disposal instructions and some even require a certain type of machine for disposal.
  • Protect yourself and your surroundings. Always read instructions, double check dilution ratios and wear proper personal protective equipment. Remove or cover anything that could be damaged by the product, and ensure you have proper ventilation at all times.

Great Uses for Natural Orange

“Going Green” is a term we are all familiar with.  It is not just a trend anymore; it has become a world movement, and for good reason. Reducing our individual and corporate carbon footprint has immense benefits for our planet and well-being.  We have seen a huge transition to “green” cleaning products, household goods, food, beverages, and even clothing. Using eco-friendly products can be beneficial to any industry, and should be substituted whenever possible. Especially when working outside and/or around bodies of water. This is what inspired us to create our Natural Orange Cleaner.

If you are looking for an environmentally safe, natural substitute for your degreaser or all-purpose cleaner our Natural Orange is a great go-to. From pressure washing to busting barnacles off of boat docks, Natural Orange is a versatile, all-purpose cleaner that has many uses. This chemical emulsifies heavy grease, soap scum, rubber burns, dirt & grime, and even removes printer ink and carbon deposits. It continues to work well even under high dilution ratios. This product is also non-flammable, non-corrosive and contains no hard abrasives. It is ideal for most cleaning projects. So, if that voice inside your head is guilt tripping you about the cheap, toxic chemicals you buy from the grocery store, then you have a chance to silence that voice for good. Once you have tried our Natural Orange you will have permanent peace-of-mind.
